Alyssa Ring is the Director of Federal Government Affairs at Tremont Strategies Group. In this role, Alyssa helps drive federal policy advocacy while directing research, managing client communication, and participating in strategic planning.
Alyssa joins TSG having served as the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, where she led local, state and federal government relations for the state’s transportation agency, overseeing departments with an annual spend of nearly $6B. Alyssa led Congressional and federal agency outreach on transportation financing projects including the Cape Cod Bridges, Allston Multimodal Project and East-West Rail.
Alyssa had previously served as Director of Government Affairs at Beth Israel Lahey Health, New England’s second largest healthcare system employing 38,000 people in a shared mission to expand access to care and advance the science and practice of medicine. In this capacity, Alyssa supported city, state and federal government relations activities in order to advance both policy priorities and funding for the system.
Prior to working at BILH, Alyssa was Government Affairs Liaison for the City of Boston under Mayor Martin Walsh. In this capacity, she managed the City's strategy to secure the passage of legislative, budget and policy priorities through lobbying, coalition building, grassroots outreach and media advocacy with relevant policy and communications personnel. Alyssa previously served as Assistant to the Mayor.
Alyssa has a Bachelor’s Degree in American Government and Politics from Suffolk University. She has been a volunteer with DC Central Kitchen and the Massachusetts Troop Welfare Council.
