Alyssa Ring is a Director of Government Affairs at Tremont Strategies Group, where she leads policy advocacy, manages client relationships, and drives strategic planning across the firm's portfolio, with particular expertise in both healthcare and transportation & infrastructure.
Alyssa brings deep public sector experience to TSG, most recently as an Assistant Secretary at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, where directed local, state, and federal government relations for one of the Commonwealth's largest agencies. In that role, she was a driving force behind landmark infrastructure initiatives — the Cape Cod Bridges, the Allston Multimodal Project, and East-West Rail — shepherding each through complex negotiations with municipal and state government, as well as Congress and federal agencies.
Before MassDOT, Alyssa served as Director of Government Affairs for Beth Israel Lahey Health, New England's second-largest health care system, where she advanced city, state, and federal advocacy strategies that secured meaningful policy wins and funding to expand access to care and accelerate medical innovation.
Earlier in her career, Alyssa held multiple roles in the administration of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh — first as Assistant to the Mayor and later as Government Affairs Liaison — where she built coalitions, lobbied key stakeholders, and led grassroots and media strategies to advance the administration's legislative and budget priorities.
Alyssa holds a degree in American Government and Politics from Suffolk University and remains an active civic volunteer, having given her time to organizations including DC Central Kitchen and the Massachusetts Troop Welfare Council.
