Steve began his public service career in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, working for current Telecommunications, Energy and Utilities Chairman, Mark J. Cusack—as his first legislative aide and later as Chief of Staff. While working at the State House, Steve was elected as the youngest member of the Arlington Board of Selectmen and later served as its Chairman. Following his tenure in the legislature, Steve joined the Metropolitan Area Planning Council—the regional planning agency serving 101 cities and towns across Greater Boston—as a Government Relations Specialist. There, he led the development of the agency’s legislative agenda, coordinated coalitions of municipal leaders, and worked closely with lawmakers and the Governor’s office to advance key policy and budget priorities.
Steve holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Policy from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in Government from Connecticut College.
