Steve Byrne has over a decade of experience working in state and local government, having served as a government relations professional, Chief of Staff in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and elected member of the Board of Selectmen in Arlington, MA.
Byrne began his career in government working in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for Chairman Mark J. Cusack, first as his legislative aide and later as his Chief of Staff. As a member of the Board, Byrne worked to implement technological efficiencies, spearhead local economic development projects, and pass policies that benefit the community.
After leaving the State House, Steve served as a Government Relations Specialist for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, the regional planning agency for the 101 cities and towns in the Metropolitan Boston Region. In this role, he developed the agency’s legislative agenda, managed coalitions of municipal CEOs, and worked with legislators and the Governor’s administration to pass budget amendments and legislative priorities.
