With decades of multifaceted public service experience and deep ties to the Massachusetts political community, Mike is an expert in designing and leading complex government relations campaigns at the state and local level. A founding partner of Tremont Strategies, his unique perspective and personal approach have defined the firm’s ability to realize client ambitions and drive meaningful outcomes.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Mike served as the Director of Government Affairs for Governor Deval Patrick (D-MA), developing and implementing the political and legislative strategy for the Governor's public policy priorities.
Previously, he was Government Affairs Director for State Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill, where he worked with legislative leadership and municipal officials to reform the state's school building assistance program, ultimately creating a new school building authority and solving a $15.5 billion problem.
Mike’s earlier public sector roles include Director of Public Affairs for the Massachusetts Water and Resources Authority, Director of Community Corrections, and Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Administration and Finance for Norfolk County Sheriff Michael G. Bellotti.
