JASON ALUIA
Senior Vice President

 

Jason is a seasoned State House veteran with 25 years of experience in public policy, legislative strategy, and advocacy.

He previously served as Vice President of Government and External Affairs at the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans (MAHP), where he led state government relations for more than a decade. In this role, Jason worked closely with MAHP member plans to shape and advance the industry’s strategic priorities at the State House, playing a key role in the development of health care policy across the Commonwealth.

Earlier in his career, Jason was Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to former Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Salvatore F. DiMasi. During his tenure, he played a central role in crafting and passing landmark legislation, including the 2006 Health Care Reform Act, the Stem Cell Research Authorization, the Mental Health Parity Act, the Green Communities Act, and major investments in biotechnology, climate action, and STEM education initiatives.

A graduate of Suffolk University, where he studied Public Policy, Jason remains deeply engaged in civic and community leadership. He serves as Chairman of the Ward 3 Democratic Committee in Boston and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for NEW Health, a federally qualified health center serving the North End, Waterfront, and Charlestown neighborhoods. He is also a board member of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus.
