TREMONT STRATEGIES GROUP GROWS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS TEAM WITH TWO NEW HIRES
The firm strengthens its health care, education, and workforce bench with two accomplished former Capitol Hill staffers

Karabatsos joins TSG after serving in the office of U.S. Representative Lori Trahan, most recently as Legislative Director. In that role, she managed the Congresswoman’s legislative agenda and advised on a broad range of issues including health care, education, housing, childcare, voting rights, and women’s issues. She previously served as Legislative Assistant and Legislative Correspondent, building a strong record of policy development, coalition management, and legislative execution. Karabatsos supported the Congresswoman’s work on the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health as well as the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing & Trade. She also assisted on efforts related to the bipartisan Congressional Fusion Caucus, and the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
"I have spent my career helping Massachusetts organizations navigate the federal government through policy and funding alike,” Karabatsos said. “I am thrilled to join Tremont Strategies Group and continue advancing meaningful policy solutions for clients navigating Washington. Tremont has built an outstanding reputation for results-driven advocacy, and I’m excited to contribute my Capitol Hill experience to help clients succeed."
Eby returns to TSG with extensive congressional and public policy experience that further strengthens TSG’s bipartisan federal practice. Eby, a Northeastern University graduate who started her career at TSG, spent the last several years on Capitol Hill working for Congressman Brad Sherman, a senior member of the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. During her time in Congressman Sherman’s office, Eby helped manage the Congressman’s work in health care, appropriations, housing, and financial regulation, as well as the response to the 2025 California wildfires.
"Returning to TSG feels like coming home," said Eby. “Tremont Strategies Group has assembled one of the most respected government affairs teams in the country, and the client-first culture, deep expertise, and bipartisan approach to advocacy are exactly what drew me back."
"As client needs continue to grow, we are investing in top-tier talent with real governing experience,” said Atkins. “Alex and Allie each understand how to move policy, build coalitions, and deliver outcomes. They bring the policy expertise, strategic instincts, and trusted relationships that help clients achieve results in an increasingly complex Washington environment. We are thrilled to welcome them to TSG."
